Colleges Go Green With Electric Work Vehicles - Part 2
"We believe colleges and universities must exercise leadership in their communities and throughout society by modeling ways to minimize global warming emissions" - text from the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment statement.
The presidents of over 600 colleges and universities throughout the United States have signed the Climate Commitment on behalf on their campuses. In the Midwest, this includes names such as Robert Denson (President, Des Moines Area Community College), Dr. Kathleen Nelson (President, Lake Superior College), Dr. Brian Levin-Stankevich (Chancellor, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire) and many, many more (the complete list).
One choice colleges make to reduce their carbon emissions is to add all-electric vehicles to their working fleets. The University of Minnesota uses the e-Ride Industries EX-V2 (above, left) to deliver technology to classrooms throughout the Minneapolis campus. To read how the New York Institute of Technology decided to deploy their Vantage brand all-electric vehicles (above, right), click here (NYIT website).
